Plagiarism Policy

Diabzen upholds the highest standards of academic integrity and originality, adhering to best practices and benchmarks set by leading international scientific journals.

Core Principles

Originality: All submissions must be original, unpublished work and not under review elsewhere. Any form of plagiarism—including verbatim copying, improper paraphrasing, and unauthorized reuse of figures, tables, or data—will not be tolerated.

Plagiarism Check: Every manuscript submitted to Diabzen will undergo rigorous plagiarism screening using advanced similarity detection tools. The maximum acceptable similarity index is 30% (excluding references, standard methods, and legally reused material with attribution). Manuscripts exceeding this threshold or containing unacceptably copied material will be rejected or sent back for revision.

      Types of Unacceptable Practices:

Direct copying of text, images, or data without appropriate citation.

Mosaic plagiarism, where sources are blended with original text without proper acknowledgment.

      Unattributed translation of other works.

Submitting previously published work as if it were new (self-plagiarism), unless identified and approved as a review, update, or secondary publication with transparency and permission.

Responsibilities

Authors: Must ensure their submission is free from plagiarism and properly acknowledges all sources. All co-authors share responsibility for the integrity of the content.

Reviewers/Editors: Are empowered and obligated to identify and report instances of plagiarism at any manuscript stage.

Actions on Plagiarism

Minor Overlap: Authors will be notified and required to revise the manuscript, providing proper citation and rewording the problematic content.

Major Plagiarism: Manuscripts with extensive plagiarism will be immediately rejected. Any discovered after publication will result in retraction and notification of the authors’ institutions.

Appeals

Authors may appeal editorial decisions by providing evidence and explanation, which will be reviewed by the editorial board in accordance with publishing ethics standards.
