Author Responsibilities

Authors play a crucial role in maintaining the scientific quality, ethical standards, and credibility of Diabzen. By submitting work to the journal, authors commit to upholding the following responsibilities:

1. Originality and Integrity

Original Work: Authors must submit only original manuscripts that have not been published elsewhere and are not under consideration by other journals.

Proper Attribution: All sources must be appropriately cited. Plagiarism—including verbatim copying, improper paraphrasing, self-plagiarism (without transparency), and unauthorized use of others' figures or data—is strictly prohibited.

Data Accuracy: Results should be accurately represented without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate data manipulation. Authors are required to share raw data if requested for verification.

Clear Writing: Manuscripts should be written in clear, concise English and checked for spelling and grammar prior to submission.

2. Ethical Standards and Compliance

Ethics Approval: Research involving human participants, animals, or sensitive data must include a statement of ethical approval with the committee’s reference number.

Informed Consent: Authors must confirm that informed consent was obtained from all participants or explain any waivers in place.

Conflict of Interest: All authors are required to disclose financial, personal, or institutional relationships that could be viewed as influencing the research or conclusions.

Funding Disclosure: All sources of research funding, grants, or sponsorship must be clearly disclosed.

3. Authorship and Contributions

Author Eligibility: Only individuals who have made substantial contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research should be listed as authors.

Author Contributions: A brief statement describing each author’s specific contributions is required.

Acknowledgments: Any individuals or organizations contributing to the work, but not qualifying for authorship, should be acknowledged separately.

4. Transparency and Accountability

Corrections and Retractions: Authors are responsible for quickly notifying the journal if they discover significant errors or inaccuracies in their published work, cooperating with editors to publish corrections or retractions if necessary.

Permissions: Authors must secure permission for any use of previously published material, including figures, tables, datasets, or text excerpts.

Blind Review Compliance: Manuscripts submitted for double-blind peer review must have all author-identifying information removed from the main text and file metadata.

5. Submitting to Diabzen

Adherence to Guidelines: Manuscripts must conform to Diabzen’s author and submission guidelines, including formatting and ethics policies.

Timely Communication: Authors should respond promptly to editorial, peer reviewer, and production queries, and complete revisions within the timeframes specified by the editorial office.

Data Sharing: When applicable, authors should provide statements on the availability of datasets, code, or supplementary information supporting their findings.

By following these responsibilities, authors support the mission of Diabzen to advance trust, rigor, and innovation in cardio-diabetes-renal science and technology publishing.
